Papago Park body may be hiker who fell by Beth Duckett - May. 24, 2008 10:47 AM The Arizona Republic The body of a man was discovered at the base of a Papago Park butte Friday night in Phoenix. Police believe the man, whose name has not been released, may have been hiking the park's elevated trails when he fell to his death. Two women hikers stumbled upon the body sometime after 10 p.m. Papago Park, part of Phoenix parks since 1959, is known for its sandstone buttes and rocky trail system. |
